A New Chapter for Tullyallen Community Centre: Refurbished, Reopened, and Ready for the Future (2025)

2025 marked a milestone year for Tullyallen Community Centre—a year of renewal, pride, and community spirit. After decades of service to the village, the centre underwent a major refurbishment that has transformed it into a modern, welcoming hub ready to support the next generation of local activity, learning, and connection.

A Community Effort Years in the Making

The refurbishment project was not just a construction job; it was the result of years of dedication from local volunteers, committee members, residents, and supporting organisations. Securing €225,000 in funding through the Town and Village Renewal Scheme was a turning point, allowing long‑needed upgrades to finally move forward. Local fundraising, generous donations, and the unwavering commitment of the community made the vision possible.

From March to August 2025, the centre was carefully modernised—every improvement guided by the goal of creating a space that is safe, accessible, and adaptable for all.

These upgrades ensure the centre can continue to support the wide range of groups that rely on it—from youth clubs and fitness classes to community meetings, cultural events, and social gatherings.

A Celebration of Community

The official reopening in September 2025 was a proud moment for Tullyallen. Families, local groups, and long‑time supporters gathered to see the renewed space and celebrate what the community had achieved together. The atmosphere was one of excitement and gratitude—recognising both the centre’s long history and the bright future ahead.

Speeches from committee members and local representatives highlighted the centre’s importance as a place where people come together, learn, grow, and support one another. The ribbon‑cutting ceremony symbolised not just the reopening of a building, but the beginning of a new chapter for the village.

Looking Ahead

With its refurbishment complete, Tullyallen Community Centre is ready to serve the community for decades to come. New programmes, expanded activities, and improved facilities mean more opportunities for everyone—children, families, older adults, local organisations, and remote workers alike.

The centre remains true to its original purpose: to be a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant space at the heart of village life. And now, with its modernised facilities, it is better equipped than ever to support the needs of a growing and active community.
